These pants were likely used by Cardinals legend Yadier Molina. At the very least, they are game issued for Molina. The pants are only authenticated as team issued. MLB only authenticates items are “game used” if they are handed to them directly from the field. Many players reuse equipment, so they end up sitting in their locker or in the clubhouse. Because of this, they are authenticated as team issued. I do believe however that these were used by Yadier in a game. There is some usage around the cuff of the pants as well as the groin area as would be expected by a catcher who wears gear that would run those areas. The wash tag also appears to have been washed as it isn’t in perfect condition. The pants are also labeled as 2016 pants, but weren’t authenticated until 2019. Please don’t purchase if there’s any doubt in your mind. As stated previously though, I personally do believe that they have been used.
