    Description

    VINTAGE ASH SPLINT SEWING BASKET W/COVER ALGONQUIN (?) 9-1/2" W x 3-1/2"H EUC.
    This Indian sewing basket has been made of ash splint and hand-dyed with vegetable coloring   Yellow, green and rose cording weave around the sides and on the cover   Colors are still strong on inside   (Pictures  6 and 7)
    Believed to be from the Algonquin Indian tribe.  Its stamped MADE IN CANADA on the bottom.       It's in  amazing original condition and has faded to a subtle shade on outside
    9- 1/2" opening with wrapped edge        'Signature'  twisted handle on the cover
    Condition is Used.   Note: There's a small break in wrapping on cover edge   (Picture  7 )
