    SUPER RARE NATIVE AMERICAN DOLL & WOVEN BASKETRY CRADLE BOARD - NAVAJO DOLL

    Here is a super rare pairing of two Native American doll items. First, is a wonderful handmade Navajo doll dating from approximately the 1950's. I have included photos of the front and back to show you many of the details including her embroidery facial features, sequin decorations on her traditional velvet blouse, ribbons on her skirt, the traditional ribbon tied hair on the backside of her head, yarn hair, a leather belt and leather moccasins. She was most likely not sold with the Native American doll size cradle board, but she fits perfectly inside, so I am selling both items together. Many of the artifacts I have posted on E-Bay were purchased around 40 years ago from a 3rd generation TRADER by the name of “Pat Read” who owned shops in Albuquerque, Sante Fe, Rancho de Taos, and Lawrence, Kansas. Any collector of Native American artifacts or a collector of antique dolls will go GAGA over this pair of items. Good luck to all my clientele winning these two rare items.

    CONDITION:
    Please view my detailed photos for the actual condition and as part of my description. As mentioned above, both doll and cradle board are being sold together and will be carefully boxed to the winner bidder by Priority Mail. The doll is in near perfect condition without any damage I can find or repairs. The cradle board is in amazing antique condition as well and I believe dates much older than the doll. The two side panels have geometric decorations and the old damage I can find is a small area that is missing several spots. The cradle board measures approximately 13 inches tall, by 4 3/4 inches wide and 3 inches deep. A marvelous pairing for any doll or Native American artifact collector.
