    Description

RARE ANTIQUE NATIVE AMERICAN SKOKOMISH TWINED BASKET WITH SCALLOPED RIM - 7" DIA -
You are considering a very fine twined woven basket by a Skokomish tribe artist containing a wonderful design pattern and a lovely scalloped rim. The basket work is exceptionally tight with five sets of dark dotted bands interspersed with various tones of other colored banding. I am offering this Skokomish basket for the first time here on Ebay and guarantee the next owner will cherish this very unique basket for many years ahead. The item was purchased from Pat Read; see my last two listing photos for a postcard taken at one of his many shops. He was a third generation Trader from Lawrence, Kansas. Good luck to my winner.
Many of the artifacts I have posted on E-Bay were purchased around 40 - 45 years ago, but most are much older.
Be sure to check my other listings... as I will soon be posting a number of other Native American jewelry items as well as collectables in the coming weeks. I always combine items for saving on shipping when they can be shipped safely together. Please wait for my invoice with combined shipping costs.
    CONDITION:
Please view my detailed photos for the actual condition and as part of my description. The basket measure 7 inches in diameter and about 4 inches in height
; see my ruler in my fifth listing photo to confirm the basic diameter. I guarantee you will not be disappointed, should you be the lucky winner. A copy of the postcard containing Pat Read will be included with the basket as provenance to this piece. I will carefully double box this item to the winning bidder by Priority Mail.
