(The Master Singers of Nuremberg), an opera by Richard Wagner first performed in Munich in 1868. Depicted figures include: Hans Sachs, shoemaker, poet and master singer; Eva Pogner, a goldsmith’s daughter; and Walther von Stolzing, a Franconian knight and aspiring master singer.

No. 2300, 5.5 liters with a pewter lid.
The stein is 21 1/4" tall and 5 1/8" in diameter at the base. The etched design is very well defined. In the art pottery world it is referred to as a sharp mold.
Two Condition Issues - hairline around the circumference of the top area and hairline to base up the side a little. Study photos 6 through 9 to see details of the flaws.
