ANTIQUE MINIATURE WINNEBAGO ASH SPLINT BASKET 6-1/4" L x 5" W x 5-3/4" H W/HANDLE.
RARE FIND in this remarkable condition!   Created with a light and precise hand.
Handmade of 1/8" wide strips of ash splint with traces of red and green dye.  Bottom is 1/2"  wide strips of splint.    Hand carved handle that is notched and woven into the sides.  (Picture 5 )  Note the slip guard under the handle (Picture  6)
Measures 6-1/4" long, 5" wide and the basket itself measures 3-1/4" high,  with handle 5-3/4" high.
Found in Wisconsin .........HoChunk and Winnebago tribes.
