    Description

    Antique Iroquois basket, hand woven ash splints, some dyed red and faded, it appears to have been shellacked, I can find a handful of baskets in this pedestal shape in museums, but none with the curli cue weave, late 19thC / early 20thC New York, some cracked and missing weavers, the approximate size is 14 inches x 12.5 inches x 6 inches tall, #2144, the shipping charge may seem a little high, but even though it is not very heavy, the size of the box to ship it safely will be calculated as dimensional weight
