    For sale very fine quality antique / original First Nations / Native Cedar Weave Thompson River Basket, British Columbia,
    Canada
    Dating Circa: late 1800's  /  early 1900's.
    Imbricated and traditional Thompson River design, Salish First Nation.
    Original Hand weave.
    Woven with cedar, partially colored.
    A functional West Coast multi-purpose basket, rectangular shape with f
    lat bottom
    Color: Natural, aged with time - partially colored with traditional red and black
    Size: approx. 6" diameter  ,   3 3/4 high -  inches.
    Condition: Very Good
    , age considered. Strong and sturdy, with visible signs of age / wear.
    Visible small loss (about 1"  and another one about  1/2" ) to basket's  top rim - see second image.
    Provenance: Private Collection for many years, purchased in Victoria BC 1960's.
