    Description

    This is a good antique Cherokee handled river cane basket from the southeastern US seaboard, and circa late 1800s, or so. Basket is 10 1/2" high with a 6" square bottom. The rim is slightly oval in shape from the pressure of the handle and measures 8 3/4" x 7". Condition is original and excellent with no damage and no repair, and it has a superb old color and patina from age and use. There are a couple of small old spots of silver paint on the bottom, but you could remove them easily, if desired. This was just found in New England. Shipping is .00 Priority mail.
