Antique Eastern Algonkian birch bark box, container, hand made, rim decorated with sweet grass and sewn with conifer root, secured with small nails, geometric design in negative etching, Passamaquoddy or Penobscot, Maine ca.1900, signs of use, scratches, missing sweet grass and sewing stitches, the top sticks a bit the approximate size is 6inches long x 3 inches wide x 2 inches tall, #9993
