Condition and Description:
Overall in very good condition. Only issue of note, three fine hairlines at the top rim (from 1" to 2"). Otherwise in great condition (really good considering it is 130 years old give or take). This stein has a lot going on. First there is the central image of men playing football, then there are two side scenes one titled "Going out" where a player has the ball and looks ready to play; the other "Coming back" where a player has the ball but is bandaged on his head, arm + leg. Obviously playing without pads or helmets had it's drawbacks, but they didn't need protective gear back then, because teeth were overrated and men were men...
The other two real neat features on this stein, there are two heraldic United states flags with what appears to be 44 stars; then there are 3 heraldic eagles along the base of the stein too. This stein really has it all! A tremendous antique stein that would make a great gift for any die hard football.

On the subject of shipping and handling, I have a 100% success rate(knock on wood) with the steins I have packed and shipped arriving to their new homes in perfect condition. This stein will be well packed and shipped fully insured, USPS priority or Fedex home.
This is a fairly tall pokal, so the shipping will range a little higher than most 1/2L to 1L steins. Also, in addition to combining shipping for multiple lots won - I am willing to ship internationally.
Please feel free to message me with any questions, and thanks for looking!
