This auction is for a 1971 Jim Roland, #33, game used Oakland A's/Athletics home flannel vest. Jersey is in great condition. No tears or holes. All buttons present. Roland's name was removed to send jersey to minors and a clear outline remains. This would be easy to restore. The numbers and A's logo appear original. Piping is in outstanding condition. Jersey is tagged in the front tail - McAuliffe tag with year and size tags. Inside collar has some sweat yellowing. His '72 Topps baseball card looks like the jersey for sale. Roland was 1-3 in 31 games in 1971 with 1 save and a 3.18 ERA. He also played for the Twins, Yankees and Rangers during his 10 year career.
