1898 Club Vorwarts Beer Stein German Socialist Club Newspaper High Wheel Bicycle

Rare Beer Stein, probably for the German Socialist Club, Club Vorwarts. Not sure the meaning of the high wheel bicycle above the enamel emblem. Commemorating 1892, the mug is dated January 22, 1898. Interesting engraving, maybe someone will have more information. Measures about 4 1/8" tall, 5 1/4" across at handle. The only flaw we see is a chip at the bottom of the handle where it is attached, see photo. Unique item.
