Antique Mettlach lidded beer stein
Stein holds ½ liter – see incision on the rim
With rich and colorful hunt themed design: four images.
three hunters showing their preys: a wild boar, stag and a hare
and a falconer – all men in Medieval attire
Handle designed to look like a tree branch
Pewter lid with a nice thumbpiece: a wood gnome carrying a beer barrel on his shoulder
Stein bears the trademark of the abbey tower above a banner, which includes the word “Mettlach” and VB for Villeroy and Boch VB (for Villeroy&Boch),
number of the body form: 1695, year of production: shown in a rectangel.
