    Description

    I purchased this basket back in 2006 from an antique shop. At the time of purchase I felt it was Native American but I was a Native American pottery collector back then with little knowledge about baskets. I do not know what tribe this would have belonged to. If I am incorrect PLEASE let me know! I have no intention of deceiving anyone. It has a tarry type substance on the bottom which I believe may be pine pitch. It is 10 inches in diameter. The weave is tight and the basket symmetrical.
